Objective
The Dividend Strategy is designed to emphasize current income and future capital appreciation. Principal risk and volatility are expected and acceptable over the intended investment time horizon of at least 3 years. The Strategy seeks current income and growth through a determined allocation between individual equities, fixed income and hybrid securities, real assets, and cash. The investment allocation may also include closed-end investment companies.
Philosophy
We adhere to a valuation based approach that strives to capitalize on market inefficiencies with rigorous fundamental research. We believe the opportunity to find high quality business at discounted valuations has increased for fundamental investors. The increasing diversity of market participants, such as passive, high turnover, levered, and quantitative strategies help to create price volatility that benefits the active value investor.
